One-to-One Counselling
First Consultation – €50
If you wish to contact the service (see contact page for phone or email options), we can arrange an initial consultation. In this initial meeting we will outline your issues and/or concerns, and discuss how the service works. You will be given the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the process. At the end of this first meeting, you may decide whether you wish to proceed with this service or seek an alternative.
Continuing Our Work Together – €65 per session
Therapy involves a weekly, one-hour session whereby we talk about your issues and concerns. These sessions take place in a secure and confidential space at a regular time each week. In terms of timeframe, there is no limit to how many sessions you may have. Always remember, this process is about what works best for you.
In terms of what happens in the sessions, we will sit and talk about your issues, concerns, thoughts and feelings. It is a collaborative process of trying to help you gain more self-awareness. We will listen to you, encourage you and empathise with you – but we will also challenge you to broaden your perspective and look at life in a healthier way. Together, we work towards an optimal outcome for you.
Couples Counselling
Counselling Sessions – €90
Relationships can go through many ups and downs over time, with some of these down times being particularly challenging. These times can make people feel unloved and unsupported.
Some common problems experienced during difficult times are:
-Regular arguments
-Loss of intimacy
-No communication
-Feelings of drifting apart
The causes of relationship difficulties can be wide ranging. Such difficulties may be brought about by stress (from work or from family), by parenting differences or by one partner feeling undervalued or under appreciated.
The aim of couples counselling is to make each partner in the relationship more aware of how they are communicating, and how their way of communicating is impacting on their partner.
We want to provide a safe space for each partner to express their differences.
Some typical mental health concerns that therapy may help with include:
- Impaired self-esteem or self-confidence
- Depression
- Relationship problems
- Sexuality questions
- Stress
- Trauma
- Childhood issues
- Loss of direction in life
- Bereavement
- Anxiety
- Search for meaning or purpose
- Getting to know your true self
Do not worry if you feel your issue is not named here, because this list is not exhaustive. Please do get in touch and we can discuss your concerns in person. No issue is ever too big or small! If, for any reason, either of us feel that we are not the right service to help you, then we will do our utmost to point you to another service that may better serve your needs.
For more information about fees for either our initial consultation or subsequent work together, please see the ‘Fees and Cancellation Policy Page’.
